Marios Tsiliakos

team Marios Tsiliakos

Architecture from N.T.U.Athens and a Msc in Adaptive Architecture and Computation from the Bartlett U.C.L. His research focuses mainly on data driven design methodologies and it has been published in conferences such as eCCADe & CAADRIA. Developer of “Nudibranch” add-on for Grasshopper3D, he’s the computational instructor of formDEcode, specializing in GH, C#, VB.Net and Processing. Late at night he plays handball, yet nobody cares.

Recent Research

  • Ichnos – Intangible Data Trails - Ichnos – Intangible Data Trails | Forming the Invisible Ichnos (Greek: ίχνος) is an ongoing investigation, currently on the 3.05 version, where intangible data, such as social network feeds are digitally sculpted onto tangible morphologies. Information from a set of social network users is translated into the properties of digital entities. These entities coexist with each…
  • Siphonophore - Siphonophore – A Physical Computing Simulation of Colonial Intelligence Organisms   This research sets out to document the procedural design and implementation of “Siphonophore” a multisensory digital ecology, mimicking colonial-ordered behaviour systems. The exploration of the notion of “self” in a complex system of highly integrated individuals with reference to the emergence of behaviours from…
  • Swarm Materiality - Swarm Materiality: A multi-agent approach to stress driven material organization   This research sets out to introduce and explore a computational tool, thus a methodological framework, for simulating stress driven material growth and organization by employing a multi-agent system based in swarm intelligence algorithms. It consists of an ongoing investigation that underlies the intention for…
