Vasilis Chlorokostas

Architect with a diploma from Aristotle Uni. of Thessaloniki and an M.Arch GAD from the Bartlett UCL with Distinction.. His research-by-design focuses on the “textural” aspect of architecture, especially using 3D sculpting and recursive subdivision techniques.
He’s the Jewelry design instructor of decode along with the sales and support manager for McNeel’s Rhino3D in Greece.
He was very excited to receive from Peter Cook the Bartlett UCL 2012 Bronze Medal only soon to realize it was a bronze spray-painted 3d-printed ear. He keeps it locked in his basement.

Recent Research

  • Nanosuit - Nanosuit: an Architectural Relation of the Body with its Immediate Environment. This research investigates the architectural relation of the body with the environment in multiple scales. Recursive subdivision is manipulated and used as the tectonic, architectural counterpart of cellular subdivision.
